Freedom was established in 1997 by Marilyn and Jimmy Fox in a 24
by 30 foot building at their home. Marilyn worked as a home care
nurse while Jimmy ran the business. Jimmy, being disabled since
a child, together with Marilyn started with a solid idea and a
business plan. Their goal was to give people with mobility
problems a choice in their equipment and to treat people the way
we all like to be treated. Their beginning inventory consisted
of three scooters and a single lift chair. Since moving in 2004,
into a larger building with enhanced accessibility and room for
expansion, they can provide full service repair and quality
customer support after the sale. Even today the company’s
devotion to making life better for people with mobility needs
still shines bright. They accept most types of insurance
including Medicare and Medicaid. Accredited in 2009, by the
Healthcare Quality Association on Accreditation, they remain the
largest mobility supplier in Western Kentucky. Even over the
Internet they will strive to deliver the highest quality
equipment available to your front door. They still subscribe to
the original idea and offer their clients unrivaled selection
and service for all their mobility needs.
